Our story
After working together for the best part of ten years, father and daughter, James and Megan started James Young & Associates in February 2016. We also share our office with our mischievous dogs Dotty and Peggy and the odd Tortoise who love to meet our clients and visitors.
Meet the team
James Young
Director & Mortgage Adviser
Jim has worked in Financial Services since the late 80's and loves to be out and about meeting new people. For his sins James is an avid Gillingham FC fan and can be found cheering them on from the stands most weekends.
Little Known Fact: James once drunkenly 'dad danced' on a stage in front of 5,000 people in Spain, who thought he was the paid act. He still doesn't know how he got on the stage.
Megan Adams
Mortgage Adviser
Megan has been working for her father James since leaving school and is a fully qualified Mortgage Adviser. She regularly sees clients at our office and is popular with First Time Buyers. Outside of work Megan is mum to a little boy born in November 2022.
Little Known Fact: Meg knows the barcode of a Cadburys Creme Egg off by heart (blame the Saturday job in Woolworths over Easter!)
Dorothy
Head of Barketing
Dorothy is half basset hound, half dachshund and a whole lot of trouble. She spends most of the day playing with Peggy or stealing trainers. The only dog we know that runs away when it's time for walkies!
Peggy
Puglishing Manager
Peggy is our little piglet. Always trying to get in the bins or into the fridge. She attempts to steal the trainers off of Dorothy but she just cant catch her. She likes to sit up at the table at lunchtimes so she can squeak for scraps.
